About Debbie Solano
Your Specialist for Country Homes, Farms & Ranches
Following a lifelong passion for horses and country property, I focus on the needs of clients juggling their work and their play, helping families with equestrian lifestyles balance their love of the country with their need for proximity to the city.
I have expertise to work with prospective buyers in evaluating a property's suitability for themselves and their horses or other livestock, even when a property is involved in oil & gas production.
I bring a wealth of education and experience together to market suburban residential properties, country estates, horse farms, equestrian facilities, scenic properties, and parcels of land. If you currently own property and are thinking of placing it on the market, let me do the work for you! I can help you with information about preparing your home for sale so you'll get the best price.
If you love the country and are looking for that dream home in midtown Tulsa or anywhere in Northeast Oklahoma, I'll be glad to help. Tell me what you are looking for and I will do the search for you! I will work relentlessly for you to find that perfect home.

My Qualifications
While I have literally divorced my brush hog, I have a passion for country property. I grew up in dairy country of New York State where I rode field hunters and learned to love riding in the woods. I was a member of the Goldens Bridge Hounds Pony Club in North Salem, New York.
I moved to Oklahoma in 1984 and became familiar with riding in a ring, showing a bit on the hunter-jumper circuit, and doing some dressage competition. In 1989 we bought our 60-acre farm in Claremore and I was able to ride on my own place.
In Claremore I took classes in horse management at the Rogers State College Horse Center and volunteered in the Bit by Bit Therapeutic Riding program. I also took courses in the Golf Course and Landscape Management program at Rogers State College, learning to identify and manage trees, shrubs, grasses, and weeds.
More recently I have taken classes at the High Plains Technology Center in Woodward to learn about oil & gas drilling and production. I have a rig pass and feel somewhat qualified and comfortable when walking around on an oil lease as well as a farm. I have also learned how to do landman work, which brings together my many years of professional experience as a law librarian, a corporate records manager, and later as a legal assistant. I can advise clients appropriately regarding which professionals to consult when their land is actually or potentially involved in oil & gas production.
From 1989 to 1991 I worked as an executive secretary for Henson-Williams Realty, commercial real estate developers. I acquired my real estate sales license in 1994 and worked as a buyers' agent for Gordona Duca Realtors for six months before going back to graduate school. In 2005 I came back into real estate full time and placed my license with Colwell Banker / RaderGroup, Realtors.
I am certified as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and I am a Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS). I have a certificate for At Home with Diversity. I am a graduate of the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and have completed coursework for the Accredited Buyer Representative designation. I am a member of the Council of Residential Specialists and am working to become a CRS designee. I am a member of the Women's Council of Realtors (WCR) and an associate member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa. I am an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and a member of the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen (TAPL). My next education project will be to take classes to become an accredited Land Consultant (ALC) with the Research Land Institute (RLI).
My unique blend of life experience, education, and passion come together to make me qualified to work with buyers who are looking for pretty land and sellers who own rural, suburban, even urban horse properties in Northeast Oklahoma. Read more about Debbie.
My Client-First Philosophy
There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.
That said, in my experience as a Tulsa real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.
This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.
So when you decide that you'd like to buy or sell a home in the Tulsa area or anywhere in Northeast Oklahoma, please contact me.
